Si vous cherchez...... f you're looking for that unforgettable Milanese experience to take back home, why not let one of our expert, local guides take you on your very own private tour. At your own leisure, you can decide when and what you'd like to discover, whether it's major monuments, hidden art gems, the city's unique food and drink scene, or a combination of these. Our licenced tour guides will make the city come to life as they reveal its multi-layered charm. We are immensely proud of Milan and love sharing our local knowledge with visitors from all over the world. That's why we welcome the opportunity to plan unforgettable tours of all kinds, whether it's for the individual, families, a large wedding party, a corporate event or a romantic tour for two.

Milan Private Guides consists of a small group of hand-picked, professional guides who all speak excellent English and Italian and have a passion for the city they work in.

We have all made our home here in Milan although several of us may come from further afield. But this is the place we take pride in for many reasons that we are sure you'll see too.

Although we offer a customized service that can include your transport, those elusive Last Supper tickets, restaurant bookings, the chance to see that once in a lifetime performance at La Scala Opera House, we are no tour operator. This means we charge you for these additional services at cost and you are simply paying for your private tour guide. We have no call centre or fancy offices. So when you ask us for an enquiry or a quote you are talking directly to one of the guides.

The fee you pay goes directly to your guide so that means we are able to attract and keep the best.

Deborah

Deborah was born in northern England and grew up in Glasgow where she got a degree in Italian and French. The glamour of Italy cast its spell on her at an early age and when she came to Florence as a student on a two-month course it was love at first sight. She moved to Milan in 1986 and has considered this dynamic city as home ever since. After working in a company she decided it was time to return to her real passion in life, history and art, and gained the official qualification as a tour guide in Milan. Inspired by some amazing guides she decided to bring the best together to offer a great range of activities, and set up Milan Private Guides. She enjoys getting under the surface of this eclectic city with its bustling lifestyle and inner charm. As a keen but alas not very good cyclist she feels very lucky to be able to wheel round this city admiring its ever-changing skyline and special blend of architecture. Once safely back with two feet on the ground she delights in accompanying visitors round Milan from all over the world and sharing her inside experience of the city with them.

Laura

Laura is our art historian from Turin. After graduating she too put down roots in Milan back in 2002 and started working as a tour guide after gaining her licence. With her wry sense of humour she is great at revealing the secrets behind the most famous wall-painting in the world, Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper, and the incredible masterpieces housed in the city's Ambrosiana and Brera art galleries.

She also has a vast experience as an incoming tour leader for other Italian destinations. One of her favourite places is Lake Como, where she accompanies guests on a discovery of its stunning beauty and opulent villas dotted along the shores. In her spare time she can be found braving the seas and winds on sailing regattas along Italy's beautiful coastline. And before we forget, maybe its her Piedmontese origins that also make her a true connoisseur of Italy's amazing gourmet specialties and wines. These are all pleasures in life which she loves sharing with her new-found friends!

Corrado

Corrado is from the beautiful island of Sardegna, where he graduated in marketing and human resources. In 1996 he moved to Milan and immediately felt at one with the city's energetic lifestyle and was easily charmed by its elegance and understated beauty.

He has a strong background in the travel industry where he worked for many years before becoming a tour leader in 2009. A true globe-trotter he has travelled the world and lived in Olbia, Rome, Florence and Paris. Whenever possible he ventures out to a far-reaching corner of the world to gain new experiences but it's not long before he brings them back home.

Since gaining his qualification as a tour guide in Milan and Como he loves accompanying visitors on an all-embracing discovery of these places, their local food and wine scenes. He also organizes bespoke private tours throughout Italy and with his unflappable charm you could not be in better company or safer hands to enjoy the many marvels of Italy.
